BDM History
Keith Byington started our firm in 1952 in Bonner, Montana. The next generation surfaced in the mid-seventies when Tom Deveny began his solo practice at the home on S. First Street. In 1977 Jack Meyer joined Keith, followed by Marie Hebnes and Mark Byington in 1978. In 1980 when Keith retired, Jack and Mark merged the Byington clientele with Tom Deveny’s practice. Tom moved out of his kitchen to make room for the new partners of what was now called Byington, Deveny and Meyer P.C.
John Boyle joined the firm in 1982, Mark retired, we changed the name
to Boyle, Deveny and Meyer (affectionately known as BDM), and grew from
three professionals to ten. During this time our reputation for excellence,
teamwork, community involvement, and a certain alternative character
established itself. In 2002 three women joined the ownership: Marie
Hebnes, Nancy Harrington, and Rena Hansen. Today we are a thriving group
of fifteen plus, and to make room for more services we have moved from
the old homestead to a classy new building along the river on South
Fourth Street East. We are proud of our roots as well as our future.
