Karen Neel CPA joined the firm in 1995. She was raised on Long Island, NY and in the Adirondack Mountains. Karen received a BS in Forest Biology from SUNY Syracuse in 1978 and a Masters in Accountancy from the University of Montana in 1994. Between those two degrees she worked on Forest Service seasonal field crews as well as desk jobs at St. Patrick Hospital and Food Services of America. She stills gets outdoors as much as possible – biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing, gardening and as a volunteer on a fire lookout. She is expanding her craftiness by learning to quilt. She currently serves on the board of Living Arts of Montana with past service for Garden City Harvest and Watson Children’s Shelter. Karen’s practice at BDM includes tax services for individuals, partnerships, corporations and not-for-profits entities as well as business and QuickBooks consulting.
